Home handy-man tips and tricks:
When rolling paint, always use an extension. A 6ft one that is 3ft closed is the best.
Blue tape sticks but comes off, even after a really long time.
California hot patch is the way to patch a hole either from an abandoned outlet or an expressive visitor who happened to punch a hole in the wall by mistake.
The hot water pipe is on the left when looking at the vanity.
The black wire is hot, and should connect to the small slot (right) on the outlet.
Because all houses use both legs of the native 220 volt power supply there is always the potential to find 220v in the house when you least expect it.  I always throw the breaker at the main box just to be safe.  Of course if you're an electrician, then you always work with live circuits, so go ahead.
