Paperwork for Major and Minor
requiring Advisor Signature

There are two important forms that must be signed by the Undergraduate Advisor during your time at the university. The first form is the major declaration form.  Once you are admitted to the College of Arts and Sciences, you must declare a major (and a minor, too).  You obtain forms from a College Advisor, then after filling the declaration form in, bring it the Economics department for the advisor to sign.  After signing the form, the advisor will keep the white top copy, and return to you the other, colored, copies.  You then must return to Arts and Sciences with the completed copies.

The second form requiring the Undergraduate Advisor's signature is the graduation check.  You must obtain this after you have completed 90 hours of study from the College of Arts and Sciences.  The Undergraduate Advisor checks the transcript that must accompany the form, and completes the form, indicating which courses you must complete successfully to satisfy the requirements of the major (or minor.)  The signed form is returned by the student to the College.
If you cannot meet with the Undergraduate Advisor personally to get these forms signed, you can leave them with the Economics Office staff, and the completed forms will normally be ready for pickup at that office the next day.
